| Bowtie - Black Mangrove - 6.5 x 2.25 x 1.25 – Resembling
a neat bowtie this spoon has a natural surface where the knot would be
at the center. Black Mangrove has unusual grain appearing to have almost
been brick laid rather than the normal annual ring pattern. This double
spoon also evokes eyeglasses and even appears to have someone looking
out from the depth of the bowls. I’ve done several double spoons over
the years - SOLD.
Note: This spoon was on exhibit at Blue Spiral 1, a wonderful
gallery
in Ashville, NC until September
30, 2011. The exhibition was entitled Wood
Moving Forward and included the work of 14 wood artists from the
Southeast.
